About This Role

The Exchange Administrator will work with clients to help implement Appspace conferencing room solutions that integrate with MS Exchange 2013 & 2016.  The position will document requirements and best practices for EWS/API, service accounts, permissions, limitations.  In addition, this role will assist enterprise clients in navigating their on-premise MS Exchange environment to ensure proper authentication & API based data negotiation and retrieval. The individual will work as a SME and lead for our conference room solution integrating with on-prem MS Exchange services including all aspects of support, API consultation & integration, testing and deployment. 

Responsibilities

  • Develop operational processes and procedures in supporting the environment.
  • Interface with various Support teams to ensure server & API availability and stability for performance at scale.
  • Represents outages/issues on project and leadership calls.
  • Creation of post-mortems and root cause analysis (RCA) reports.
  • Interface with Engineering for integration testing and review.
  • Provide support on issues escalated by clients and support teams.
  • Ensure compliance of solutions to regulatory and security standards are met when interfacing with clients’ Exchange environments.
  • Work and collaborate with internal and external Systems Architects, Project Managers, IT and NetSec team members to implement and troubleshoot when needed.
  • Serve as an escalation point for conference room tablet integrations. 
  • Assess and analyze clients’ current environment and participate in the development of upgrade product roadmap.

Experience, Skills, and Education

  • Minimum of 7+ years of IT experience with significant technical and operational experience in Microsoft Exchange products. 
  • Experience with Exchange Server installation & deployment, management/configuration & maintenance in an enterprise environment.
  • In-depth hands-on knowledge of the following:
    • Exchange Server 2010 on a large environment.
    • Hub Transport setup and configuration (Email Routing).
    • What the CAS is used for in E2K10 and how to configure in a large environment.
    • Exchange High Availability and capacity planning (E2K10 Database Availability Group).
    • PowerShell and other administration scripting tools is a plus
  • Experienced with process controls problem solving service delivery and customer interaction.
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Server 2013 and 2016.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Exchange EWS library for all facets of booking, extending and canceling meetings in exchange calendars.
  • Knowledge of project management, ITIL and agile development methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory, SSO & other secure authentication protocols for Exchange.
  • Knowledge of PowerShell, Batch files, scripting & HTML and Javascript. 
  • Group Policy (create, deploy, troubleshoot).
  • Working knowledge of SCCM, Windows RDS/Terminal Services, DHCP, DNS.
  • SQL server installation & deployment best practices (non-DBA).
  • Server Application Clustering (Exchange; SQL; etc.).
  • MFA/2FA Methodologies (Microsoft, Google, Duo, etc).
  • Self-starter who can work independently yet has strong communication and collaborative skills.
  • Strong ability to solve technical problems especially related to data flow and data updates.
  • Certifications in Exchange Server 2010/2016 or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Certification in ITIL v3 Foundation preferred.
