Role summary

As a Project Manager/Scrum Master your focus is the timely and quality execution of projects from original concept through to final implementation. This includes plan development, implementation, and communication to other teams and leadership, This position requires working with teams that follow Agile as well as traditional methodologies.


  • Facilitates the successful delivery (of user stories committed) of multiple Scrum teams within timeline and defined quality

  • Meticulously follows-up and follows-through issues and actions and drives them to closure in a timely manner. Especially in removing impediments or blockers that hinder the progress of the Scrum teams

  • Ensures that the Product Owner prioritize the Product Backlog, and that there are sufficient high priority user stories ready for grooming. And that there are enough user stories groomed for at least two sprints

  • Facilitates, coach and supports the execution of Scrum processes (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-Ups, Sprint Review and Sprint Retrospective and Product Backlog Grooming), and champion project management best practices

  • Foster the development of a self-managed and self-organized team. Engage, lead and motivate scrum team to perform at an optimum level

  • Foster a conducive environment that encourages open and honest communication, and champion the Scrum values of Focus, Courage, Openness, Commitment and Respect

  • Manages risks proactively, and identify and resolve issues timely. Rigorously maintain Issue Log and Risk Register

  • Active participation in release planning meeting, identifies and manages dependencies across Scrum teams and with other teams

  • Proactively communicate project progress report to management and stakeholders on a regular basis, and to escalate any impediments to the same for resolution

Experience, skills, and education

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related discipline

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in managing software development project with at least 3 years’ experience in a Scrum Master role

  • Scrum Master Certification is a must, and knowledge and/or experience in other Agile methodologies is an advantage

  • Ability to resolve conflicts, and escalating where necessary

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with attention for details

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach
